Guardians of all Voiceless – Cat Shelter Foundation Stone

📅 01-09-2025 📍 Patiala
In India, millions of street animals face challenges like lack of shelter, medical care, and compassion. Animal welfare remains a critical concern in urban and rural areas, with many animals suffering from diseases, injuries, and abandonment. The vulnerability quotient of these animals is high due to limited access to healthcare, food, and safe habitats. Media reports often underscore the plight of street animals, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to address their welfare.

Some key statistics

Stray animal populations contribute to concerns like rabies transmission and animal suffering.

Only a fraction of street animals receive medical care or shelter.

The need for organizations focusing on animal welfare is evident, given the vast number of animals requiring support.

Our Objective

The Adhishrihaan Foundation’s project aimed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for rescued cats in Patiala, Punjab, through collaboration with Guardians of All Voiceless. The aims included:

Immediate Assistance

Providing shelter and medical care to rescued animals.

Long-term Assistance

Promoting animal welfare, sterilization, vaccination, and adoption services.

Support/Knowledge /Awareness

Creating social awareness about compassion towards animals and engaging the community in animal welfare efforts.

Why Specific NGO

The Adhishrihaan Foundation partnered with Guardians of All Voiceless, a non-profit organization led by Mr. Sourav Khosla and Mr. Pankaj Arora. Guardians of All Voiceless is dedicated to rescuing street animals, providing medical care, temporary shelter, and adoption services.

They operate a shelter caring for over 97 rescued dogs, and 10 newly rescued cats showcasing their commitment to animal welfare.

What We Planned

The project involved constructing a cat shelter in Patiala in collaboration with Guardians of All Voiceless. Key plans included:

Laying the foundation stone for the cat shelter by Shrihaan.

Providing a safe environment for rescued cats.

Offering sterilization and vaccination services through partnerships.

Promoting adoption and community engagement for animal welfare.

We built the cat shelter because the rescued cats were living in a very small room with inadequate ventilation and no space to play properly. The new shelter will ensure they have comfort, including protection during winters.

Why Specific Location

The project is located in Patiala, Punjab, India, associated with Guardians of All Voiceless. Patiala’s location allows for impactful animal rescue operations and community outreach, aiming to enhance animal welfare in the region.
