Stationery Distribution at Maharish Dayanand Bal Ashram

📅 11-09-2025 📍 Chandigarh 🏟️ Udham Singh Colony in Sector 74, Mohali
According to a 2023 report, people living in slum areas like Udham Singh Colony in Sector 74, Mohali, Chandigarh, face significant challenges. Often, these slums lack adequate infrastructure, leading to insufficient schools and limited access to basic amenities like clean water, sanitation, and healthcare. As a result, children in these areas struggle to get proper education and are at higher risk of falling behind in their studies. Many children in such environments need extra support with their education and emotional well-being. They might feel isolated, have limited access to learning materials like books, and face hurdles in getting medical care. Residents of slums often deal with overcrowding, poor living conditions, and vulnerability to various socio-economic issues.
